Other anti-virus products may not be fully supported and you are advised to consider switching to Sophos.
Anti spyware software
Windows only: Sophos contains some very good anti-malware.
What is not permitted on the College/University Network
The University does not support any “server-based” operating systems, such as Windows Server 2016, 2019, etc. or Mac OSX Server. This also includes GNU/Linux with any server-level daemons running. Machines found to be running these operating systems may be disconnected from the Network immediately.
Appliances designed to share a network connection, such as routers or Apple’s “Time Capsule” are also not allowed on the Network.
Use of Peer-to-Peer software is strictly forbidden on the University Network and if discovered may result in disconnection.
